Leveling uneven concrete in a home that is settling

We were contacted regarding a 1938 Spanish-style concrete home, in which the homeowner was experiencing a variety of trouble. A corner of the home had begun settling; An 8-foot high wall at the end of the driveway is bowing and has drainage cracks; The entryway of the home also has a crack, and the tile floor has sunk about three-quarters of an inch.

Our team used poly-level to lift, and level the concrete. We also had the goal in mind of diverting the water away from joints and diverting the roof water away from the foundation, in order to prevent water from accumulating.

Lifting a house using push piers in Pascoag, RI

Craig went out to Pascoag, RI after receiving a call from a concerned homeowner that had noticed their house had sunk more than 6'' and multiple cracks had appeared in the foundation. After assessing the situation, Craig recommended to the homeowner that piering the house would be the best solution. The crew went out and spent 3 days driving steel tube to bedrock then 1 and a half hours using 13, 3'' Push pier, standard brackets to stabilize and raise the house over 6''!,  After the lift, the crew used 284 lbs of PolyLevel Foam to fill the void in the foundation. As you can see in the pictures, the PolyLevel filled the void under the basement floor to close the gap after the house was raised.

The final result was the entire foundation was within half an inch of the level! Happy customer, happy crew and a proud contractor!

Pictures

The first picture shows house before the lift, with laser level showing how much the house had sunk.

The second picture shows house after the lift, but as you can see there is a void in the foundation from where the house was raised.

The third picture shows how the crew used PolyLevel to fill the void and close the gap!
